Your term abroad
On 4 May, Prof. Gregory Whitwell, the Chair of CEMS decided to cancel mobility in fall term for all CEMS schools and move the terms abroad entirely to spring term.
We are glad to inform you that for the spring term, we were able to assign all of you to the same CEMS school that you were originally supposed to attend in fall. We will switch your application in the WEX portal and you will receive an email with the new offer, which you will need to accept. If your term abroad was already scheduled for spring, nothing has changed for you.
UoC fall term 2020/2021 (your CEMS term 1): The CEMS fall term is scheduled to start promptly on 1 September but will remain online until further notice. The CEMS Block Seminar, Global Strategy Course, Business Communication Skill Seminar and Management Skill Seminar will all be conducted online.
As we are still waiting for a final decision by the WiSo Faculty regarding the dates and requirements for the general fall term, information on electives (selection and timeline) will follow as soon as possible. However, please be assured that you will be able to fulfil all CEMS related requirements during the upcoming term. One elective (Management Skill Seminar) was already open for registration.
International MIM students
We are already in contact with some of you who might not be in Germany at the moment and do not have German citizenship. As the EU has closed its borders for non-EU citizens, you will not be able to get back to Cologne at the moment. Please let us know about your current status if you are not in Germany right now.
